2021, the year to downsize, right size, upsize or same size,

Time for new adventures in life if you don’t slow down and start to paralyze.

Challenges come from new and from old,

Will you be able to take the opportunity to change and be bold?

After many years with the same the safe and the relatively sane,

Some will argue that it became very mundane.

No regrets for the time spent in the corporate world,

In the end the mold was too hard to conform to and hold.

What will become with this new life chapter to be had?

Husband, father, son, confident, friend, explorer doesn’t sound too bad.

Slow down, look, see what’s real and important,

It’s all around if you look for what you want.

COVID vaccines are starting to roll,

Not a moment too soon as lockdown is taking its toll.

Interactions with family & friends have been on hold a lot,

Will we be able to resume once we all get the shot?

Six feet apart, virtual get togethers, one mask or two?

To be replaced once again with a hug and questions such as coffee with one lump of sugar or two!

See the smiling faces of others,

Simple things bring joy like no other!

Sunshine, rainbows, snow, rain and unicorns,

I know what you are thinking, has he lost his poetic form?

To be silly and act like a kid,

Nowhere to run, hide and or hid.

These are my various thoughts for today,

Thank you for reading and letting me word play.

The next writing, I am sure will have more focus,

With a little prayer, some help and of course hocus pocus.
