COVID-19 aka Buzzkill 2020

A few months ago, we did not know of this COVID-19, Corona virus bug,
Now the world is bonding together through a socially-distant-virtual group hug

Families are spending many additional hours together inside
Many feet, tip toeing across the floor, but when can we play outside?

Homeschooling is the new norm for those with young kids,
This will certainly bring new reasons for those droopy eyelids!

Working from home is the new norm afor many,
Conference calls, disruptions, dropped calls and messages a plenty!

When all is said & done, what will we have learned from this event?
Do you think our prime minister should keep that big tent?

I can think of many new phrases and words you see,
The “new-norm”, “social-distancing” and “PPE” makes three!

Help me to “flatten the curve” and we can then all be free,
There is no other choice for me.

Take care, one and all,
This is not a time to drop the ball!
